About this product

One-part emulsion acrylic intumescent sealant designed for fire-rated joints and structures. Tested to BS 476 part 20 (1987) and rated to resist fire passage for up to 5 hours in suitably designed joints. The sealant expands greater than 3 times its original size when exposed to heat, creating a char layer that maintains fire resistance. No priming is required for most construction substrates.

Suitable for joints up to 50 mm wide in fire walls, partitions, pipe and cable penetrations, and perimeter pointing of fire-rated door and window frames. Also provides acoustic properties for sound deadening. Tack-free in 15 minutes, overpaintable, and can be tooled off for a neat finish.

Supplied in a 535 g cartridge measuring 230 mm × 50 mm × 50 mm.
