About this product
One-part emulsion acrylic intumescent sealant designed for fire-rated structures and acoustic applications. When exposed to heat, the sealant expands to more than three times its original size, forming a char that resists fire passage for up to five hours. Suitable for joints up to 50 mm wide in fire walls, partitions, pipes and cable penetrations, and for perimeter pointing of fire-rated door and window frames.
Tack-free within 15 minutes and overpaintable. No primer required for most construction substrates. Tested to BS 476 part 20 (1987) following Warrington fire research report 144508/B (February 2005).
